Paul began his market research career in 1975 and has worked on both sides of the profession: client and supply.

He started as a market researcher at The Co-operative Wholesale Society (CWS) in Manchester. Since then, he’s worked at Burke Market Research (Canada), American Express Europe, IPSOS RSL, International Masters Publishers Ltd and PSI Global.

He joined Network Research as a board director in October 2000.

Paul specialized in consumer and B2B research across the financial sector. He has directed multi-national projects on customer satisfaction and loyalty, new product/service development and employee satisfaction for the UK, European and North American markets.

In 2005, Paul’s book ‘Researching Customer Satisfaction & Loyalty’ was published in the UK and USA by Kogan Page.

Paul gained first hand knowledge of line management as head of a UK publishing division. He is also experienced in service support roles having been head of Marketing Planning for the European Division of American Express.

He is a Full Member of the Market Research Society and an advisory member of the editorial board for the ‘Market Research in Practice’ book series. He also plays an active role in the on-going development of MRS qualifications for researchers.
