Privacy Policy

We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected.

This policy sets out how Network Research uses and protects any information that you give us when you use this website or if we contact you when conducting market research or customer feedback interviews. We may change this policy from time to time by updating this page so you should check here from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes.

Legal basis

We process personal data on behalf of our clients, for the purposes of collecting feedback from their customers, analysing the results, and presenting the results to our clients. Our clients use this data to improve the services they provide. In most cases, Network Research is a Processor working on behalf of our clients, who are the Controllers of the data. If you have any concerns around this, please check the privacy statement of the company on whose behalf we contacted you in the first instance. If you have any further queries, please email our Data Protection Officer: or call us on +44(0)20 7680 5100.

What we do with the data that we collect

Generally, data collected for market research or feedback purposes is only used for analysis purposes and reported anonymously in aggregate form. You do not have to answer any of the questions we ask if you do not want to. At no time will we or our clients try and sell any product or service to you as a result of you taking part in any survey we conduct. We will not pass your details to another organisation for selling or marketing purposes.

Sometimes, our clients ask for responses to be passed back to them with your name and details attached. If this is the case, we will explain to you who will see your answers and what they will be used for. This may include training, service improvement and resolving any queries that you have raised. We will only pass on your individual answers with your name if you tell us that it is OK to do this.

We record all our market research and feedback telephone calls for training and quality control purposes. We may pass those recordings to our clients at their request, but only if you tell us that it is OK to do this.

We will not transfer your personal data outside of the European Economic Area.

In line with data protection laws, we will use such information appropriately and retain it for no longer than is necessary. We will keep personal data (i.e. data that would allow you to be identified as a person, such as your name, telephone number, email address) for 12 months, after which it is removed from our records. We keep recordings of market research and feedback telephone calls for four months.

All surveys are conducted according to the MRS (Market Research Society) Code of Conduct.

Your rights

Participation in market research and feedback surveys is voluntary and you can refuse to take part at any time. We can add your telephone number and/or email address to our Never Contact List. This will only affect contact from Network Research. If you want to be added to a Never Contact register for all contact from the company on whose behalf we conduct the survey, you should contact that company directly.

You have a right to request a copy of the personal information we hold for you. When requesting access to your personal information, please note that we may ask specific information from you to enable us to confirm your identity and right to access, as well as to search for and provide you with the personal information that we hold about you. This includes the telephone number or email address that we used to contact you. We will respond within one month.

You also have a right to request that the personal information we hold for you be rectified (in case of errors) or erased.

In the event that we cannot provide you with access to your personal information, we will try to inform you of the reasons why, subject to any legal or regulatory restrictions.

If you have any queries about the data that we hold for you, you can contact us at or call us on +44(0)20 7680 5100. We will do everything that we can to help.

We are committed to ensuring the integrity of our site and the information of its users. We have in place suitable physical, electronic and operational procedures to safeguard the information we hold.
